Father

From RogueWiki

The title of Father, within the Rogues, is bestowed upon the head member of The Church of the Dirty Virgin Guild. The Father does not hold any special authority within the ranks of the Colorado Rogues. His direct superior within the Guilds is the Fleet Guild master.

The Father is not required to be ordained or have membership with a Church or Religious organization. He must abide by the rules and Code of both The Church and The Colorado Rogues, and must be in good standing with a ship and the Fleet. This rank does not override his current ship position and the Father is still under normal fleet Chain-of-Command. A Step n' Fetch, Guest of the Rogues, Friend of the Rogues or other Non-Rogue is not eligible to hold this position.

In the past, when the current Father believes it is his time to step down, he appoints the next leader of The Church. The newly chosen leader should have unanimous approval of all current Clergy members.

From Wikipedia:
In eastern Churches, deacons, priests, bishops, etc. are all called "Father," while those not in Holy Orders are addressed most often as "Brother," despite the monastic implications of the title.
