What can I say, I too was young and dumb once. When I was a young lad I dreamed of the feel of a good sword in my hand, the wind on my face, and the sun on my back, and above all the Freedom to roam where and how I willed …. That must be how I fell in with the band … They were a ragtag group, and not very well organized ….One night a job went south …We lost most of us. All because a girl turned us in …. Those of us that survived the encounter laid very low for a while … but eventually sought each other out .the men made me their new leader … I accepted with reservations. Was I really fit to lead?
We moved to a new port and set up shop again. My new band, seeking members all over. While on a temporary vacation (so the law got a little closer then we wanted) I meet a wonderful young lass… Eyes full of wild and a soul unbound, what can I say. I was hooked. While courting the wonderful lady I ended up at a rather boisterous party that took place at the private residence of a local madam. It was an interesting time I meat several Self proclaimed Pirate captains... But with no ships in port I ignored their claims but made good friends anyway with the one they called Moon. To this day I am scared to discover why they call him that.
With our friendship sealed, he and I meet several more times at a little bit more sober of events. And through him I was introduced to a man whose name meant something to a dog like me, MuttQ. I maintained a good but not close friendship with both of these captains as they were always out to sea, so they claimed. The band and I got things rolling even better and were thinking of branching out to another kingdom but while on our travels there we were attacked by a nearly mythical beast. It felled three men before any of us had drawn steel but with my lady here I was no going to let it Taste her blood… I moved into one on one combat with it. Ordering my men to tend to wounded and retreat. The battle was fierce and it took me with it down a small cliff.
I remember little other then the sound of the Lady Jessica calling out to me. But when I do have memories that function properly I was in an apothecary. And my angel was there with me. The doctor said my injuries were bad.and that I might not heal but I was determined... After a time they seemed to vanish entirely and none could find a good reason way. But I was released to go home again though it was not easy getting back to the life I had, but I made it work out, and the next summer I took the Angel I knew and made her my bride. Scores of pirates made berth to come at the request of Captains MuttQ and Moon
Captain MuttQ offered us a trip to a different island for our wedding .we took him up on it and have not left his ship or crew since … Lady Noir was the first mate serving under him when we started this voyage but while we served him on his vessel we learned he was one of a fleet of ships and the Lady Noir moved from the Lady Sinister to a posting on the flag ship.. MuttQ offered me the privilege of being his first mate and I took it... Since I have brought many a person from my guild onto his crew and we sail with him during the good sea months and when the ship makes berth at land I tend to my guild business and make sure that my guild brothers and sisters are well taken care of.
In the last winter when the fleet had settled in I learned of my wife’s pregnancy and her wish to stay ashore for birth, I was going to stay with her but she wanted me to Aid the Captain in case we met a ship that would not surrender to our might. It was rare but some hadn’t learned our standard well enough to know we gave no quarter. This proved useful as he took a wound that haunted him for much of our voyage. But our trusty Surgeon kept him together. In the appointed months we ported in early so I could depart and be with my wife for the birth. It went rather well I was told by the midwife and I added a wonderful baby girl to my family my first child whom I hope takes after the wild ways of her mother
In the recent season of piracy we learned of one of my guild mates’ betrothal and we brought his lady and him to the shire where I met this merry band of Pirates and my wild woman, and we did our best to make as wonderful a ceremony as we could. With MuttQ officiating and our brother in arms Vindorien, Von, and David all serving as grooms men to Arctos during the reception the king called all of the grooms men up and asked us to kneel. We were unsure what to really do other than obey. Apparently his Queen had spoken with him and they had decided to knight us. We were flabbergasted, it isn’t every day a privateer becomes a knight of the realm...Now I sail on at the side of My Captain, MuttQ, riding the sea aboard the Lady Sinister, taking what we may from those unwary souls we meet. I greet thee, as Sir Phydoux, First Mate of the Lady Sinister.
