Biography

Born a goddess, Belladanna offered fertility and war to those who worshiped the gods; she was known for her beauty and kind loving nature. Belladanna lived in Folkvang, a beautiful godly world with fields of green, mountains, and rivers of blue and plenty of sun shine. Belladanna spent the first half of her life living amongst the gods and traveling between the worlds to be with her beloved human husband. During these times of love and joy, there was also pain for amongst the humans wars were breaking out all over the land killing many warriors. In the fall of 1684 her husband joined the fight joining the French forces alongside King Louis XIV. By May of 1685 her husband was dead, his life coming to an ending by a spear to the heart. Belladanna was heartbroken and cried a river of gold onto the land of France where her husband lost his life and was buried. Alone and weakened by grief Belladanna decided to flee the god’s world and vanish amongst the humans, since she spent most of her life living amongst them she felt safe to hide amongst them. Belladanna had used her falcon feathered coat to travel between the worlds, and now she will use it one last time to remain in the human world. Belladanna said farewell to her two beloved cats, and after seven years of loyal service, she granted them their one wish to become witches and live amongst the humans. Belladanna arrived in Brittany, France in the winter of 1685 and began her new quiet life as a peasant. A local family took her in to their home and supported her quiet life without question to her origins. The family taught Belladanna about their culture, arts and their religion, that interesting enough had little knowledge of her or the other gods she used to know, they called it Christianity. In return to their knowledge, Belladanna taught them some of her magic and helped them to see the good in everyone they encountered. Belladanna enjoyed her life with this loving family but in the summer of 1700 she knew she had to leave them, for they were growing older as she remained the same. With fear of causing panic in the family she again fled, leaving the land of Brittany, France. In her wanderings of France she learned many skills in the art of the written word and quickly became a skilled scribe. She was known by many and became a documenter for many war generals, and those who ruled the lands. In 1710 Belladanna decided to leave France altogether, for she had become fascinated with the sea which she heard and read about and wanted to experience in real life. She traveled to the ocean shore and began seeking a Captain that would take her on board. Days went by and then finally she found a Captain that would accept her onto the crew but, only if she would agree to completing tasks and work hard on the ship and eventually become the crews scribe. Belladanna agreed to these terms since writing had become a passion for her it seemed to all fit together. She surprised but slightly shocked when the Captain announced, “Ahoy mates, we have acquired a female pirate to our ranks”. Captain Amon chuckled and said to Belladanna, “Welcome to the sausage fest, this is Stalkie McGroper; he is going to be your new captain, for I be stepping down”. Looking at her new Captain Belladanna smiles while Captain McGroper says, “Welcome to the crew my lady you now belong to The Blood Eagle”.
