Ship Story
Ship Song
The Koumori (c) 2007, Melissa Carleo and Susan Atchley. Music by Steven K. Mariner and Ken Rowe.
The Koumori's swooping in from somewhere out of sight You may stand against us in a battle or a fight Early in the morning or the midst of broad daylight: But mark my words- You're good as dead at night!
Chorus: Coming from the East, Koumori flies upon the waves You won't see 'em coming 'till they take you to your graves Her decks they are a'gleamin' and it has been said By the time you see her, you're already dead
The Gods have dropped their Precious Pearls in The Land of the Rising Sun Many ships are in your fleet, but we need only one If you're out upon the sea once the sun has set, This is the only warning you will get
You may fire your cannon, know that you will miss And then creeping up beside you, you'll feel Koumori's Kiss She's cunning and she's sultry as she glides in from the sky- And you find you're fathoms deep before you're asking why
You will be remembered well, lamented in Matsuri It is not your fault you fell a victim to Her fury We'll rest easy and sleep soundly. Hold you in our dreams, And the roaring of the crashing waves will wash away your screams
The faintest flash of golden hair will make your whole fleet pale Run for shore it's nearly dark, here come the Batwing Sail! Stand in awe of Gleeful Death - Captain Zetsumei- When the Full Moon rises, the Bats come out to play!
