Solace is from a tribe on the shores of the new world. it was a tribe of peace and war alike, for there was no peace without the need of war, but still there was always a need to create. This is where Solace excelled, a creator of both weapons and works of art alike. He was a fierce man of soul and body, though calm in demenor. His soul and mind raged with all the force of the ocean; always changing, always fuming with new ideas and passions. He lived as a man of few words but limitless ideas. Then came the day that his tribe had to go to war once again for territory and land.
it was at this time that the ship known to the seas and the night sky as The Koumori came within the shores of this land. The Koumori being a ship of diverse ship mates and limitless needs to explore the new oceans, would soon discover a peoples far differnent then they had seen before.
As the war raged on between these people, the sound could be heard echoing over the shimmering waters. Soon these sounds reached the ear of the crew. the First Mate Merlot found great interest in the fray and alerted her Captain of the event.
As Captain Zetsumei stepped upon the deck of her ship, bats could be seen rising to the night sky seeking a new night to feed. Her cascading hair shimmered in the moonlight and flowed , ghost-like, with the night breeze. As she watched the battle rage, she knew in the end there would be intersting new things to find on this new land. Soon, The Koumori moved towards the shores. Silent, invisible to the eyes of the warriors, they never knew that the crew of The Koumori had reached their land.
When the war ended, both sides of the tribes laid in waste upon the sands, save one member, left bleeding and reaching for life. His blood and sweat turning the sands to a darkened puddle of mud around him.
Captain Zetsumei approached the fallen warrior with such silence that he thought his time had come and she was the harbringer of his soul. As he watched her he did not show fear, he did not show dispair, only calm. He had lived his life with the passion and vigor of even the greatest soul.
Knowing this, the Captain was impressed with the strength of his heart and ordered her Surgeon, Boutz to his aid. It was then days later as he awoke upon the ship, the batwing sails flapping above him, that he discovered his body had been mended.
The Captain then spent months teaching him the ways of her speech and that of her mates until the day Solace found his voice among the crew and vowed to them that he would repay them for his life.
it is here that Solace stayed with the ship, knowing he had no tribe left to go back to, but he had found himself a new tribe upon the sea.
