Biography

I was born in Ireland to a lower class family. Growing up working the land was fine, but the sound of the sea filled my dreams. When I was at the age of 14 I was considered an adult, and so came the time to make a choice - either wed or leave to find my own way in life.

So the journey began.

I really had no choice but to run to the thing that called to me - the sea. As I arrived at the first port in my travels I assumed it would be difficult to get on a crew of good hearted sailors that would train me in their ways and treat my as one of their own. Boy was I right and wrong in that assumption!

When I found a place to rest my head for the evening I was astounded to find that the place I had found was a regular hang out for a large group of local sailors. They seemed nice at the time (right and wrong at the same time). The rest of the evening was not too clear. Well, the next 48 hours were not too clear.

When I woke up I was living my dream - of sorts. I found myself on a ship called the Black Cauldron. Her Captain was a very cruel woman named Raven. She gave me an opportunity to either join the crew or try to swim home. Not being able to see land, my decision was made. My life as a pirate began.

As time went on I worked and learned as much as possible. When the actual act of piracy came up, I naturally did as I was taught and did whatever it took to please the Captain.

After a couple of years I found myself in the rather odd position of asking the Captain to leave. I was asked by the crew to step up and run things. But knowing the people I was dealing with, I asked the crew to pick another (Captain Walker).

At the first opportunity, when we acquired another ship, a smaller but faster 3 masted schooner, I took my leave and some of the crew, also. We found an island that worked perfectly for a stronghold and began our new community. And for some our new family. The longer we sailed the more joined us and by pure luck we all had most of the same goals. We lived and fought together.

In this time I found a lovely woman and her children running from an abusive husband. After only a few years, we were wed and I helped her establish a carrier of her own. The daughter joined me at sea and the boy has not come of age yet, or he just won’t leave his mothers place of work. Either way, he’s becoming a man at his own pace.
