As is custom, my father arranged my marriage to the son of the head of the Moffett clan. It was a very good match as far as my father was concerned, but the man he chose was not a good husband, save for one thing; he gave me a daughter and a son. So one dark night, after years of unhappiness and torment, I fought back, and murdered my unfaithful husband in his sleep.

As it would happen, my brother [[Jereth]] was passing through town on that fateful night. He was fleeing persecution of his own. He helped with disposing the body and covering my tracks. Being experienced and able to the task he was happy to help me in my hour of need. Leaving with little more than the clothes on our backs, and all of my late husband’s gold, [[Jereth]], my children and I crept through the blackness and beauty of Scotland to the nearest port. From there we booked passage to the country of Ireland using our mothers clan name of Lindsey as cover. With a bit of creative conversation and subtle seduction I was able to barter passage for my brother, my children and myself to the New World.
I helped in the galley with my daughter, and befriended a young woman named [[Mouse]] who would prove useful, as well as “Princess” another woman fed up with the ignorance and ineptitude of men. The captain of this vessel was easily manipulated, one of my favorite traits in a mark. My brother [[Jereth]] and son Rex, who was cabin boy, also made alliances. At one point, these proved invaluable, aiding in evading possible discovery and capture when a man of law was aboard.

Half way to the New World, our ship was taken by a pirate by the name of [[Captain Moon]]. He gave us an option of joining him or being sent to the deep. Of course, we made ourselves useful. We reached a small unknown Isle, and I fell in love with solid land once again. This was where I wanted to stay. There was a sheltered bay which made a natural harbor, fertile ground for growing food, and good grazing land on the hill sides. It was the perfect place for me to build my house. By this time [[Captain Moon]] was enamored of me and my whelps, and gifted us with supplies and a bit of crew for labor to start a small port and settlement. I am loath to admit it sometimes, but I became steadily enraptured by him as well. He grew on me, like a barnacle.

Now, we reside in safety on the Isle of Lost Grace. With our growing community we are now self sufficient and thriving, able to provide rest and “relaxation” to many weary sailors.

I am the first born daughter of an Irish Catholic father (who is rumored to have the blood of the peoples of the New World in him as well) and an English Protestant mother, both of whom were disowned by their families for the scandal. A restless and not-quite-proper girl, I sought adventure from an early age, running away and disguising myself as a boy to join an army unit.

After several years of fighting in strange places all over the known world, I found myself in Larkspurshire. I assumed the identity of Gabby Longjaw, the idiot daughter of a ship’s captain, in an attempt to keep people from guessing my true identity. This didn’t go so well as hoped, given that people thought Gabby was ‘cute.’ Eventually, I met up with a man called Captain Walker. Thinking to make names for ourselves, we assumed the identities of Richard Burke and Grace O’Malley, and gained ourselves a crew of the real Richard Burkes’ daughters (who had no idea what their father really looked like, and were content to believe Captain Walker was he). It was quite cheap labor, actually, since these girls were willing to do anything for their ‘beloved father’.

After several profitable and adventurous years together, Captain Walker and I were eventually found out. The ship’s crew disbanded, and he set sail for other waters. Interestingly enough, nobody took our lies and deceit as insults—I suppose they thought it to be the true nature of pirates.

I made friends with a number of delightfully naughty wenches in the shire, who eventually asked me to lead them for awhile. While it was great fun, I decided that the task was best suited to Jess Devyne’s worthy skills, but maintained contact with the ladies. I decided to devote more time to studying a dance that I’d chanced to see upon one of my adventures to the desert countries, eventually seeking a place to showcase my talent and skill, which lead me to requesting a place in Madam Cricket’s house, where Jess Devyne also now was. Madam Cricket was most warm and gracious, and I shall see what the coming times shall bring….

Madam Cricket:

Brought up by working parents who placed a surprising value in education (for the time), I grew up surrounded by education and free will. Shy and retiring, I sought companionship in the books my parents had supplied for me. At an early age, I decided I would be as independent as society would allow. My parents, supportive and understanding to the end, sent me off with some comfort money until I could find my own footing. Footing came finally in the form of governess for a very well-to-do family. The patriarch, however, was cold and controlling. A widower, with children almost old enough to start their own lives, thought that life was playing out like Jane Eyre and I would eventually become his second wife. The world was what he made of it and people would fall into place and do as they’re told. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was that the children were older and that the family would be making their way to the New World and would be taking a couple of the help, including the governess. During the rough voyage, what apparently was luck struck, in the form of a lightning bolt as we were nearing our final destination.

At the time, it didn’t feel like luck. During a particularly violent storm, the “patriach” had decided to make his move. He announced that I could marry him and maintain his estate or pay for my voyage to the New World. While I was paid a fair sum, the amount for the charter was far greater than I could pay. Additionally, if I could not pay upon arrival, I would be charged with “theft” and left for the authorities. Feeling suddenly claustrophobic and desperately needing air, I had escaped to the deck. The ship was being rocked so much by the violent storm, I was tossed overboard, and shortly thereafter, the ship’s main mast was struck by lightning and started to break apart. Thankfully, as the ship was coming apart, some floating wood came towards me. I clung to it and rode out the storm, getting tossed amongst the waves.

While fearing the worst, I was found and welcomed by then First Mate Sachiko of The Rising. After partially explaining my situation (leaving out the dubious threat of my employer – not knowing his fate), I was given safe passage to a place called Eilean er Coayl Grayse in exchange for services rendered. I did whatever was asked, happy to finally experience the freedom I had been searching for so long. Once at the “Isle of Lost Grace” (oddly fitting) I was introduced to Mistress Devyne and Jaded and, seeing I could be of some use, was eventually introduced to the Madam. A very kind, understanding person, I took an instant liking to her and knew I had finally found a place to call home. My education would finally come in handy, too, as I could keep track of the comings and goings of the House. As near as I can figure, my position is Scribe, just as the ships sailing in and out of the Harbour have Scribes.

My name, I’m not ready to divulge. I will leave you with my pen name…Patience Galore.

Traditionally, they began their training at a very young age. Although some girls were sold to geisha houses ("okiya") as children, this was not common practice in reputable districts. Daughters of geisha were often brought up as geisha themselves, usually as the successor ("atotori" meaning heir) or daughter-role ("musume-bun") to the okiya.
The first stage of training was called shikomi. When girls first arrived at the okiya, they would be put to work as maids, or do everything they are told. The work was difficult with the intent to "make" and "break" the new girls. The most junior shikomi of the house would have to wait late into the night for the senior geisha to return from engagements, sometimes as late as two or three in the morning. During this stage of training, the shikomi would go to classes at the hanamachi's geisha school. In modern times, this stage still exists, mostly to accustom the girls to the traditional dialect, traditions and dress of the "karyūkai."

Once the recruit became proficient with the geisha arts, and passed a final, difficult dance exam, she would be promoted to the second stage of training: minarai. Minarai are relieved from their housekeeping duties. The minarai stage focuses on training in the field. Although minarai attend ozashiki (banquets in which guests are attended by geisha), they do not participate at an advanced level. Their kimono, more elaborate than even a maiko's, are intended to do the talking for them. Minarai can be hired for parties, but are usually uninvited (yet welcomed) guests at parties that their onee-san ("onee-san" meaning "older sister", and is the Minarai's senior) attends. They charge 1/3 hanadai. Minarai generally work closely with a particular tea house (called "minarai-jaya") learning from the "oka-san" (proprietor of the house). These techniques are not taught in school, as skills such as conversation and gaming can only be absorbed through practice. This stage lasts only about a month.

After a short period of time, the third (and most famous) stage of training began, called maiko. Maiko are apprentice geisha, and this stage can last for years. Maiko learn from their senior geisha mentor and follow them around to all their engagements. The onee-san/imoto-san (junior) relationship is extremely important. Since the onee-san teaches her maiko everything about working in the hanamachi, her teaching is vital. She will teach her proper ways of serving tea, playing shamisen, and dancing, the casual talk of conversation, which is also important of a maiko to learn for future invitations to more teahouses and gatherings. The onee-san will even help pick the maiko's new professional name with kanji or symbols related to her own name. One would suggest that geisha are prone to "flirt," but it is only their nature to seem demure and innocent. Regional variations exist, as the han'gyoku of Tokyo are known for being sassy and the Kyoto maiko are known for being demure.

After a period as short as six months (in Tokyo) or as long as five years (in Kyoto), the maiko is promoted to a full-fledged geisha, and charge full price for their time. Geisha remain as such until they retire.

An artisan, also called a craftsman, is a skilled manual worker who uses tools and machinery in a particular craft.

Artisans were the dominant producers of goods before the Industrial Revolution. One of the sources of the word 'craftsmanship' is 'craftsman'

According to Classical economics theory, the division of labor occurs with internal market development (Adam Smith). However, according to economist John Hicks, merchants and artisans originated as servants to the rulers, which occurred much earlier. Artisans make the products with the creative thinking and hardwork of their hands.

In Europe during the Middle Ages artisans usually organised into guilds. Guilds were associations of master artisans that were granted charters by the local sovereign authority. The guilds controlled all aspects of production and distribution to ensure quality and to prevent competition from outside markets. Along with merchants, artisans occupied the middle tier of the European and Indian social hierarchy, below the landowning aristocrats and above the agricultural workers. In contrast, Japan's Edo period artisan class was ranked below the samurai and the agricultural workers, and above the merchants.
To become an artisan in the guilds, a person worked under a master artisan as an unpaid apprentice at a young age. If the apprentice completed the training, the apprentice became a paid journeyman. For a journeyman to become a master artisan, he would have to produce a masterpiece that met the standards of the guild.

The small family had traveled all over the world for as long as Theia could remember, but when she turned 20 she decided that she was tired of traveling and would move to England and settle down as a librarian. She bid her mother and father farewell from their current expedition in Cape Town, South Africa and packed up as many books and Archaeological finds that she could carry in two trunks. Her father gave her two flintlock pistols for her voyage, wishing her a safe trip and made her promise to come visit sometime. And thus she began her long voyage north, up the coast of Africa bound for Morocco, Portugal and finally England.

About a week into the voyage the ship was boarded by pirates and plundered. Theia made sure they would not take her so easily. She injured as many as she could before they were finally able to clamp her in irons and take her aboard their ship. The pirates didn't leave many to live on the ship once they had plundered it; after it was empty of anything useful they simply set it on fire and let it burn away into the ocean.

The pirates left Theia below deck in irons for the next few days feeding her and the few others below deck crusts of dry bread and small bowls of water. Finally, they brought her, and the others that they had captured, above deck to stretch their legs, leaving their wrists and ankles chained. The wind was blowing a stiff gale, keeping the sails taught. She couldn't tell where they were headed, nor had she been able to figure out why they had picked her and the few others that they took aboard. She didn't talk to the others much, only asking simple questions when given the chance and giving simple answers when spoken to.

It remained a peaceful voyage for the remainder of the trip. Theia wandered the ship, watching the crew work; a few even put her to work, explaining how thinks worked and showing her what to do.
A few days out from where the ship was to be embarking, the ships crew took a final inventory of what and who was taken aboard. All of the captives were lined up for inspection and taken into account.
"Does she have a name?" Asked one of the men, when they finally got to Theia, who appeared to be in charge
"Nar, not that she be sayin'." replied a nearby deckhand. He paused thoughtfully for a moment, "I's thinkin' we call her Mad Charity Flint", said her captor.
"'Mad Charity Flint'?" said the other man, sounding a slight bit surprised.
"Aye sir. She be the best lookin' o' the spoils we'd takin. And ye' should' a' seen th' way she handled th' flints, sir. It was madness I tell 'ye. She'd be a fyne addition t' th' crew." he said with a hint of awe in his expression. handing the other man the flintlocks that had been taken from her during the raid.
"Very nice, "He commented, examining the pistols for a moment, then continuing, "Yes yes, I heard stories about the raid, but why Charity?"
"Heh heh heh, I 'remember 'm churchin', boson." Chortled the man, "'And the greatest 'o these be Charity'"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When her ship finally reached the harbour of the Isle they were embarking upon, the Harbourmaster began inspecting the cargo and the spoils of the ships recent plunder. The short fat man with his scruffy beard and beady black eyes looked the poor girl over a few times after she came off the ship, inspecting her posture and figure; she whimpered in protest as the man grabbed her arms and spun her around. He chuckled heartily at her obvious distaste for this treatment.
"You'll make a fine addition here, dearie. Where'd you come from?"
"From the east." She murmured
"Ah. A long way from home, aren't ya'?"
She nodded and said nothing.
After another moment he seemed content with the inspection and said, "I think you'll be a good addition to the fleet. But first, ya'll have 'ta work fer me 'n my crew for a spot. Gotta make sure you're cut out for the pirate’s life."
The Harbormaster motioned to two men unloading crates of supplies and loot from a ship. One had the same build of the Harbormaster and was wearing giant goggles on his eyes, the other was short with fiery red hair and reminded Theia of the tales of Leprechauns that she had heard.
"That's Spook," he said motioning to the one with the goggles, "and Irish" to the one with red hair, "They're my crew and now you are too." With that, the Harbormaster opened her cuffs and threw them to the side.
Theia looked at the cuffs as they clanked on the planks; she rubbed her wrists, her arms felt so much lighter now. She looked around at the island, 'I wonder if I'll ever get out of this place...' she thought, 'it is beautiful though.'
The island was unlike anything she had ever seen before. White sand beaches, tall palm trees, lush green rain forest and a few well constructed buildings in a clearing just off the beach. She blinked and looked again to make sure she'd seen properly, 'is that a church??'
Her thoughts were interrupted by the Harbormaster handing her two familiar heavy objects she recognized as her flintlocks.
She gasped in surprise as he fingered them lovingly.
"Almost everyone's armed, figure you might as well be too. Oh, 'n as for your name.... hm, lesee... we'll call you..." he pulled out a pipe and some tobacco as he thought.
"M... my name is Th..." Theia began
He quickly hushed her and lit the pipe and stared into the embers as he thought. He chuckled to himself thoughtfully as he said, "Horny. That's what it'll be. Horny."
"H...horny?" she said surprised, "But that's not..."
"That's what you'll answer to and that's what you'll call yourself." Gently explained the man, "no one on this island or in this fleet goes by their christened name."
She folded her hands in front of herself and took a seat on a crate next to him, "And what do you answer to and call yourself?" she gently chided
A chuckle rumbled in his chest as he puffed on his pipe, "Harbormaster." he leaned in with a sparkle in his eye and whispered, "they also call me 'Caution'"
"Caution?" she repeated, a bit confused
He furrowed his brow, "That's right!" he said leaning back, "K-a-u-s-h-u....." he looked up as if to think for a moment, "double N." he finished and puffed his chest proudly.
"But that's not..." she was interrupted by Spook, who hollered at the Harbormaster for some help.
Kaushunn looked at her for a moment before finally bellowing, "Well, whad arya waitin fer?!"
Horny let out a small "Eeep!" as she scurried off to help the crew with the crates.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One year later, Theia or 'Rogue Horni' (as she came to drop the y and add an i instead) had proven herself as a worthy addition to the Rogues fleet and was inducted into Madam Crickets house on the Island called 'Eilean er Coayl Grayse' as the House Virgin (as she's never been had by a Pirate before). She also found herself a place in the Church of the Dirty Virgin and Our Lady of Perpetual Crisis hospice.

She doesn't know if she'll ever return to find her parents, at present she's enjoying just being a pirate.

Jaded (real name unknown) took that name at the age of 16, after a childhood fraught with frustration and little love. The daughter of a Navy Captain, her mother disappeared or dead, she was passed around from relative to relative, only too happy to take the money from her father for upbringing, but never actually doing the work. She learned to fend for herself at a young age, wandering the streets at all hours, learning the simpler thieving skills, playing with the other unwanted urchins.

Upon one visit from her father near her 14th birthday, he was so dismayed at her appearance and apparent lack of any manners resembling those of a lady that he decided it was time to take her care and upbringing into his own hands. He took her aboard ship. That year was one of the happiest in her life. She spent hours with her father learning etiquette and manners, and while the lessons themselves were less then enjoyable, the time with her father was precious beyond compare. When she wasn’t being lessoned, she was slowly learning the ins and outs of the ship, taught knot tying and some of the simpler tasks by an indulgent crew who took her on as a kind of mascot. This life was to be short lived however.

On the eve of her 15th birthday, and just coming into true womanhood, her father’s ship was attacked during the blackest of nights. Pirates, fierce and bloody, boarded and destroyed everything, taking the stores and killing the crew. She watched as her father was cut down by the Captain of the Pirates. They would have cut her down as well, but for the staying hand of that same Captain. He thought her a pretty little thing, slightly exotic, presumably from her mother’s side. He knew a place she would be well paid for.

After months of travel aboard the Pirate ship, where against all odds she befriended them as well, she was deposited on a doorstep, and presented to the Madame of the Eilean er Coayl Grayse. However, at that point the Pirate Captain had grown quite fond of the young girl, and rather then sell her off into slave labor, he petitioned the Madame to apprentice her in the House, teaching her what she would need to know to survive. The Madame, a good natured woman with a wink in her smile, agreed, and took the girl in. No name was given, just a year of “hey girl” whenever she was needed. On the night of her first presentation, a coming out if you will, the Madame asked her what name she would go by. Considering the life she had lead, jaded she had become, and Jaded she would be called.

Madam Cricket:

I was born to a family of average means in the providence of Nova Scotia. At a very young age, unbeknownst to me, I was promised in marriage to the owner of the local mercantile, and when I reached my 18th birthday, I was introduced to the then ancient man and told of our impending union. While life with him would have afforded me a life of great comfort, I knew that marriage to him would be intolerable. I managed to hold the nuptials at bay for many years, but when the whispers of the townsfolk began referring to me as an “old maid”, my father began pressuring me to wed the decrepit old man. I decided that being gone and alone would be a much better fate.

Setting out on a lone journey, to create distance between myself and what was my threatened destiny, I headed out to sea dressed as a cabin boy. After a horrible storm that sank the ship I was on, I happened to wash up on the shore of a bustling seaside island community. I stood in awe, quite still and taking in all of my surroundings. But I knew immediately that this was where I wanted to stay. I was soon pulled from my stunned revere by the loud and constant bellowing of “Step and FETCH!” Slowly, I began walking through the noisy harbor. I must have looked lost, or at least extremely out of place, for I was quickly approached by a most helpful dockworker and escorted to the local Harbor Master, Kaushann. After a lengthy discussion, which oddly seemed more like an interview, the Harbor Master said I could stay with him and his crew until a decision could be made as to where I might best fit in and be most comfortable.

One very sunny day in mid-June, I was sitting on one of the more quiet docks, daydreaming and watching ships coming and going, mesmerized by the colorful banners as well as the colorful crews upon each vessel. I looked down the dock, and saw the Harbor Master approaching, accompanied by a woman I didn’t recognize. Kaushann introduced her to me as Madam Cricket, the proprietor of the local hostel. He explained to me that life within the House upon the lovely Isle of Lost Grace was rumored to be very comfortable (not to mention fun and quite prosperous for those who chose to live and work there).

After a short meeting with the Madam, it was decided that I would move into the House immediately. Taking a small, but quite luxurious, carriage from the Harbor to the house up the hill, she and I drank wine and discussed the business at hand.

My reception at the House was very warm and welcoming. After a few short months working with Madam Cricket and Pirate Princess, I knew I had found my home. I worked hard with the other members of the House, and enjoyed my special times with all the customers who frequented the House. And it was indeed prosperous, as the Harbor Master had suggested. It didn’t take long for Madam Cricket to realize that I was definitely right-hand material, and she asked me to step up as the Mistress of the House, which is where I remain, very happy with my station.

As a young girl she helped in the olive orchard of her ancesteral home in Italy she fell in love with a mysterious sailor. Whirlwind courtship and off to sea she went following her heart, family none approving of the man yet sent their love with their daughter and hope of a safe return one day. Unbenonst to our fair Francesca the ship her love served upon was poorer in stature ans reputation than she was led to believe she was made to serve the crew and Captain as a virtual slave and after a few years-mostly at sea, she was left behind on the Isle when a younger replacement was found. Not wanting to impose upon our fair Madame she kept to herself but was soon befriended by Madame Cricket, Captain Moon, and all at the house.

Familiar with the hiearchy at sea from a stint with another shady croud, lead by a woman of mystery and temper where i was named by her then king.

I be Tavish McPantless.

I was born nothin’ but the wee lad of a poor potato farmer in a small village where I never felt that I truly fit. From the time I first started feelin fur growin 'neath me kilt, I was always in trouble. Whether it was sneaking off with Miss MacCoulouch's pies, Mister MacCully's sheep or even the Constable’s daughter a time or two. It was pretty clear I wasn't cut out for the small life. I left me family on my 15th birthday and told me Paw he'd be proud o’ me one day.

I decided to try me fortunes in the port city of Stornoway. My lack of coins and experience led me to try my luck in the gambling halls, where I quickly lost what little scratch I had. I tried fightin’ for me supper, but was quickly known for being a bit over-violent with a tendency to cheat if I needed 'ta knock the other fella down. I begged for a while, which didn't work out so well either. I found meself cornered by some strong-arms looking for payment one dark night. Just as things started looking like I might not walk away in one piece I heard a high, lilting voice call to the vagabonds, "Any of you fella's want to try this sweet thing on for size?" she said as she slid a leg free of her skirts to waggle it suggestively. I never was sure exactly what happened after that, because I passed out cold when I hit the ground.

When I came to, I was sure I'd been at the rum again, although where I had gotten it I had no clue as the last I could remember I’d been to poor to pay attention. The room was swaying around me it seemed. Judging by the way the lantern was swinging , the room really WAS swaying. I quickly sat up and banged me head on the bunk above. A ship! How on earth did I end up on a ship?

Light suddenly impaled me next thoughts as the door opened and a beautiful young lass sauntered in. "So, your lazy bones finally be awake do they?" she said as she sat a basket down on the table. “Who do ya be, boy?”
“I’m Tavish, M’Lady.” I replied.
“Tavish what, exactly?” Asked the lady.
“I’d rather not say, M’Lady… my Paw wouldn’t be too happy to hear what I’ve managed so far.”
“Fair enough…. The girls I’m bringing to work for me found it mighty amusing that Scotsmen don’t wear pants. I’ll call you Tavish McPantless until you’ve a mind to tell me otherwise. I be Madam Cricket of Eilean er Coayl Grayse. I'm the one saved your scurvy hide last night. I ask you now boy, are you gonna repay the favor or do I dump you over the side?" I cracked a smile and said "Just dump me then, I be no woman's slave."

You can't imagine how bad saltwater stings when you be hangin off the side of a ship draggin your bum on the wake at full sail.

The Madam taught me about respect that day, using my tender salt stung hide in conjunction with the anchor to slow her approach to the sheltered Harbor leading to The Isle Of Lost Grace. I’ve spent me days since making up for the brashness of me youth as the Masseur of Madam’s Crickets House.

I’m Pirate Princess and this is my story

I was bored. My daddy the King kept bringing me suitors, but every time I tried to play with one, they broke. Sometimes they cried too, but I didn't mind that as much.

The problem was that daddy wanted me to marry, but men, I found, were stupid. Weak even when they pretended they ruled the world. HA! None yet could play my games; they all went home eventually, some by carriage, and some by box.

I was restless one day, the moon was shining but I was stuck inside. Daddy was angry because I had sent the latest suitor home with a broken leg. But daddy didn't understand- I had to test them all. Else how would I find one strong enough to be my match?

Stalking around my room I threw open the chest. I smiled down on my "toys"- whips, chains, shackles. Some leather, some lace- all painful for others, but pleasure for me. In frustration I started grabbing clothes and tossing them in on top of my precious belongings. Once I was done I impatiently called for my man-servant. He had learned early not to cross this Mistress.

Silently I slipped from the house, my man-servant bringing up the rear of the chest. I would show daddy! No one would hold me down or dictate my future. I went to the docks and booked passage on a ship bound for parts unknown.

On my journey I forged a friendship with a fleeing murderess (which thrilled me endlessly!) and a quiet soul called Mouse. They would help guide my way to a new future, a future where I would call the shots, and those who stood in my way- stood to lose more than just the gold in their purse.

To be continued…..

I'm Madam Cricket, AKA Shelly to my friends and family, Michelle to my acquaintances and Madam to those soon to be disposed of in Davy Jones’ locker.

I'm Scottish, born of Clan Frazier, and have a tendency to separate a man from his gold without even trying. The clan of Frazier is known for its brushes with authority in one vein or another. The men especially when a silk skirt is involved.

As it would happen, my brother Jereth was passing through town on that fateful night. He was fleeing persecution of his own. He helped with disposing the body and covering my tracks. Being experienced and able to the task he was happy to help me in my hour of need. Leaving with little more than the clothes on our backs, and all of my late husband’s gold, Jereth, my children and I crept through the blackness and beauty of Scotland to the nearest port. From there we booked passage to the country of Ireland using our mothers clan name of Lindsey as cover. With a bit of creative conversation and subtle seduction I was able to barter passage for my brother, my children and myself to the New World.
I helped in the galley with my daughter, and befriended a young woman named Mouse who would prove useful, as well as “Princess” another woman fed up with the ignorance and ineptitude of men. The captain of this vessel was easily manipulated, one of my favorite traits in a mark. My brother Jereth and son Rex, who was cabin boy, also made alliances. At one point, these proved invaluable, aiding in evading possible discovery and capture when a man of law was aboard.

Half way to the New World, our ship was taken by a pirate by the name of Captain Moon. By this time, Captain Moon was enamored of me and my whelps, and gifted us with supplies and a bit of crew for labor to start a small port and settlement.

There are services and facilities for recreation of most any kind, either for the mind or body. If you should fall victim to evil spirits, strange itches, or both, there is one who can service...I mean serve, you. One and all are welcome. No reservations, agents, or reading skills required. All things come to those who pay the right price!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v521/mayajax/personal/1736343ee00ba104da.jpg

I'm Madam Cricket, AKA Cricket to my friends and family, Madam to my acquaintances and Madam Cricket to those soon to be disposed of in Davey Jones’s locker.

I'm Scottish, born of Clan Frazier, and have a tendency to separate a man from his gold with out even trying. The clan of Frasier is known for its brushes with authority in one vain or another, and for the men especially when they wear a silk skirt.

As is custom my father arranged my marriage to the son of the head of the Moffett clan. It was very good match as far as my father was concerned, but he was not a good husband. He was good for one thing; he gave me a daughter and a son. So one dark night, after years of unhappiness and torment, I fought back, murdered my unfaithful husband.

As it would happen, my brother Jereth was passing through town on that fateful night. He was fleeing persecution of his own. He helped with disposing of the body and covering my tracks. Being experienced and able to the task he was happy to help me in my hour of need. Leaving with little more than the clothes on our backs, and all of my husbands gold, Jereth, my children and I crept through the blackness and beauty of Scotland to the nearest port. From there we booked passage to the country of Ireland. With a bit of creative conversation and subtle seduction I was able to barter passage for my brother, my children and myself to the New World.

I helped in the galley with my daughter, and befriended a young woman named Mouse who was proving useful with the sea sickness, as well as “Princess” another woman fed up with the ignorance and ineptitude of men. The captain of this vessel was easily manipulated, one of my favorite traits in a mark. My brother Jareth and son Rex as cabin boy on deck also made alliances. Even evading possible discovery and capture at one point when a man of law was aboard.

Half way to the new world our ship was taken by a pirate by the name of Captain Moon. He gave us an option of joining or being sent to the deep. Of course we made ourselves useful. We reached a small unknown Isle and I fell in love with solid land once again. This was where I wanted to stay. There was a sheltered bay to build a harbor, fertile ground for growing food, good grazing land on the hill sides, and most importantly the perfect place for her house. The, by then, enamored Captain Moon gifted supplies and a bit of crew for labor to start a small port and settlement.

Now we reside in safety on the Isle of Lost Grace. With our growing community
we are now mostly self sufficient and thriving. There are services and facilities for recreation of most any kind, either of the mind or body. If you should fall victim to evil spirits or the clap there is one whom can serve you, so you can be serviced. No reservations, licenses, or reading skills required. One and all are welcome. All things will come those who pay the right price!

* *(We reserve the right to run you through or anything else we desire should you offend our delicate female sensibilities. Kiss, kiss.)
