Biography
A man lay, battered and beaten. His skin is weathered and burned, as only the sea can create. Behind him, a faltering path of footsteps across a windswept beach. The sands stained of blood where the man lays. In his right hand, a flintlock, it's load discharged. About his shoulder, a sheathe for a cutlass. Empty. The waves crash against the figure again and again, the salt water cleansing the body, even as it slowly kills him.

Two figures along the beach. One, Stalkie McGroper, Bosun of the Sun God. The second, one Lady Merlot, Scribe of the Rising. Both obviously drunk, and both in low spirits. They pass the body without a second glance. Or maybe one glance. The one named Stalkie turns around. "No, it can't be." He starts to continue his walk, but stops and turns around. "He wouldn't be that stupid, would he?" Merlot's eyebrows raise from under her hat. "Friend?" "Aye." Like a sack of potatoes, the man name Stalkie picks up the unconscious man, unceremoniously throwing him over his shoulder. "Be a love and grab his flintlock, would you? And his 'at too. Can't go without that...." Without another word, the two turn, continuing their trek through the beach.
Ship Story
Ship Song
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

*chorus*
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=Guilds&diff=5058Guilds2014-03-04T02:56:22Z
Kilt Puppet: /* The Lady Sinister */

So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

Biography
Not much is known about Sterling Bane before he washed up on the shores of Eilean Er Coayl Grayse. Soon after, he was claimed by Captain Ogre Greybeard to become a crew member of The Lady Sinister.

No one really knows where he came from or his nationality for that matter, as he can’t seem to keep the same accent for extended periods of time and randomly switches between several different ones. Various words have been used to describe him such as: enigma, brooding, dangerous, anti-social, difficult, irritating, quiet and arrogant (his personal favorite). Though his personal opinion is that whoever wrote this bio just asked his ex-girlfriends to describe him in one word.

Some say he has an irrational fear and hatred of the sun and that he only eats cheese…

Some say that he was once a member of the House, but was bashed in the head and that he was tossed out to sea by the Madam for being an excessive womanizer…

Some say he’s wanted by the Royal Navy, and that he sleeps upside down like a bat...

Some say that his politics are terrifying and that he once punched a horse to the ground…

Some say that his heart is in upside down and that there is a Port in Russia named after him…

Some say that he’s actually dead and that he sucks the moisture from ducks…

Some say that he looks like Joker from Full Metal Jacket and that his scrotum has its own small gravity field…

Some say he’s banned from the town of Chichester…

Some say he is the one who actually wrote all of this…

All you need to know is that he’s called Sterling Bane.
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=Retired_Rogues&diff=5055Retired Rogues2014-03-04T02:52:26Z
Kilt Puppet: /* Non-Commissioned Rogues */

Biography
I remember very little of that night a fierce and savage storm washed me over board from the ship that I had taken passage on. No questions were asked as to why I was willing to leave so suddenly. I had fled England on the run from the law for murder, I do know I killed a man in a tavern brawl and for that I would have been hung. We were a week at sea when the storm hit, and suddenly I found myself flung over board, left to drown in the ocean by the cruel hand of fate. Fate however had other plans for it seems. I know not for how many days I drifted clinging to a piece of the ship that I had hoped to carry me across the sea to a new life, but only that I was delirious with fever when suddenly upon the horizon appeared a ship. I was taken on board the Raging Saint Mae I was latter told when I awoke on Eilean er Coayl Grayse, that I had been pulled from the Sea by there quarter master Edward Featty. Knowing not who I was, only that by his grace I was alive I set out to discover who I was. A year of service I was charged with, the price for my rescue was a challenge, survive, survive and should I prove worthy join one of the ships of the fleet. Under the care of the Harbor Master would I serve, should I falter or fail into the sea would I be cast.

For a Year and a Day I labored, always under the watchful eyes of the fleet who called the Isle home, my sponsor among them. Over the course of that year my dreams were filled with the sounds of cannon fire, plunder and war, a black sail proudly bearing a Skull, a cutlass and a blue rose among others. But never a hint of who I was. As my service drew to a close, a choice I was told I must make. Though the Isle would always be there it was my duty to find my home out among the waves, a pirate, one among the brethren of the fleet. I made my choice as the fleet prepared to return once more to take aboard those of us who had passed our tests.

Still not knowing what my name truly was, I stood before those who were now my Brothers and Sisters and waited for one of the Captains to claim me. His Name was Captain MuttQ, master of the Lady Sinister, who's mast proudly flew a herald of a Skull, above a crossed Cutlass and a Blue Rose. I made my choice that night, before my brethren I received my sash, and took my place aboard the Lady. My old life I chose to leave behind me in the cold dark sea, from where I came, The Name I know bear was given to me by my Captain and crew. It has been years now and what little I remember of my old life has slowly faded away, Each summer I return to The Isle along with my ship in search of new crew to join us as we plunder our way across the seven sea's. My name now is Battery O'Banyon that witch was given to me by my Captain and ship mates.
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=Valya&diff=4680Valya2013-05-12T14:42:25Z
Kilt Puppet:

Biography
In a castle in a faraway land, for quite a long time, lived a lady whose task it was to tend the hounds with her husband. If the villagers wanted something stored in the kennels, or needed a place to rest, they called upon her. As the castle folk petted her hounds they would tell her their cares, both big and small. She had her eyes and ears open, yet rarely spoke of what she knew. Everyone seemed to know her, yet they could not recall her name. To them she was invisible. Had anyone cared to ask, she could have told them how she and her husband yearned for more. They would look out to the sea and guess at the adventures taking place upon the ships that rose and fell with the swells of the sea. When the ships would come in to port to unload the treasures they held beneath their decks, she would listen to the stories the sailors would tell of strange lands and peoples. It seemed as if for all their trials upon the high seas, that these people of the sea were a family. A family that they had chosen to be a part of and that wanted them. In time, she learned to speak some of the tongues they used. These hard working and hard playing people were often roughly treated by the castle folk and called pirates as if that made them the lesser. Yet, she found that they remembered that she had a name. They were kind to her and sought out her company when they were in port. She, in turn, fed them and cared for them when the others would not. Yet, still, she wanted more than just to listen to others’ adventures. She wanted to be part of it. She wanted have her own adventures.

One summer day she met the one the pirates called Captain Greybeard. The others spoke of him in a mixture of awe, fear, and respect. She found him to be both a good listener and given to wise counsel. His crew was welcoming and bid her join them. She would have grand adventures and be whatever she chose to be they said. Hard work was valued and would be rewarded.

Her name was Valya and when the Lady Sinister let out her sails, she would be on it. Let the sea bring her whither it will; her fortune was hers to take!
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=Lady_Di&diff=4663Lady Di2013-02-17T21:25:35Z
Kilt Puppet:

Biography
My life began humbly in a small port town. Father owned the local tavern, and when I was old enough, he put me to work as a tavern maiden. The tavern usually had good food, the ale was always above average and the prices were fair. That’s most likely what brought Phydoux, Little Jess and their guild, The Black Velvet Band, into the tavern time and time again. Jess always called me “Lady Di”; I wasn’t sure why but it made me feel both special and a little uncomfortable. After all, it wasn’t everyday that a rogue took to giving me a nickname.

The Black Velvet Band was exciting and frightening at the same time. I loved listening to the tales of their adventures, but at the same time was too afraid to even dream about being part of the least dangerous of them myself. They became friends that I looked forward to seeing every time they passed through town. I always hoped that there would be enough fresh goods in storage to make them a really good meal when they arrived.

I was young and naïve then with my nose always stuck in a book when I wasn’t working. That was my mother’s influence. Before she died, she taught me to read and write. She said it was important so I wouldn’t get cheated. I didn’t know anything about that; I just loved meeting the people on the pages I read. I rarely left the tavern grounds for anything but groceries and had never been outside the walls of the town, but the books took me to exciting new places with every word.

When my father remarried, his new wife was not terribly fond of me; more like she didn’t want competition for his money. As she made my life more and more unbearable, the idea of leaving on a wagon train or ship started to overcome my fear of leaving the things and places I’d known all my life. When she convinced my father to force me to marry, I refused and ran away in the dead of night.

As luck would have it, I picked a night with nearly no moonlight to run off. Naturally, I was scared witless when three dark figures stepped out of the brush along the road. That is, until I recognized the voices of Jess, Phydoux and Phydoux’s second, Vin; then I was relieved. I knew they would not let any harm come to me, and their Band would see me safely out of town and to whatever destiny awaited me.

The next thing I knew, Jess and Phydoux were offering me a position with their guild. I was shocked, scared and then angry. I thought they were making fun of me but it turned out they really wanted me to join them as their cook. I accepted eagerly with the request that I be trained to defend myself. I finally learned why Jess called me “Lady Di”. She claimed I was the closest thing she’d ever met to a real Lady, and the name stuck.

It wasn’t long before Jess was asking me to be her second and not long after that the guild made arrangements with Captain MuttQ of The Lady Sinister to crew his ship in return for a portion of whatever bounty we captured. You see, Captain MuttQ was a member of a fleet of pirates called The Colorado Rogues, and he needed to flush out his crew.

Once aboard The Lady Sinister, I took an interest in the weapons onboard, particularly the cannons. I was apprenticed to Chocolate, the Master Gunner and wife of Captain MuttQ. As I became more familiar with the ship and crew I found another calling, medicine. I continued my work with Chocolate and the cannons but I began to spend more and more time with Sylvr, the ship’s Surgeon, learning about healing. It became apparent that my skill was better used in medicine and after awhile, Sylvr requested that MuttQ promote me to ship’s Surgeon, and she took the position of ship’s Cleric.

In time, Phydoux and Jess married and had a child. Jess decided to leave the sea for a more stationary home and Phydoux’s heart was more frequently with her than on the ship. With Jess’s departure I, rather reluctantly, became Quarter Master. When Captain MuttQ brought Ogre onto the ship, Phydoux put up an admirable display when his position as First Mate was challenged, but I know he was happy to have that burden lifted from him.

Captain MuttQ decided he would soon retire and began training Ogre as Captain. In turn, Ogre began grooming me for First Mate. Within the year, Captain MuttQ retired leaving the ship and crew in Ogre’s care. It was with great honor that I accepted Ogre’s request that I stand beside him as First Mate.

I’ve come a long way from the timid tavern keeper’s daughter, jumping at shadows, and my story’s not done. I just don’t know how it ends yet. When I find out, I’ll let you know.
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=The_Lady_Sinister&diff=4661The Lady Sinister2013-02-17T21:23:46Z
Kilt Puppet: /* Current Roster - (25) */

Ship Song
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty
Ship Song
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

I was wandering around the port looking for adventure and escape from my family when I met a man named Battery O'Banyon, He offered me a drink and I told him of my dreams of adventure and escape. In turn, he told me of his adventures at sea. While we were having our drink, many sailors joined us and shared their adventures as well. After meeting all these fine sailors, I decided that a life at sea was in my future, but there were many trials ahead. When I told my new friends I would like to join them they asked me what I knew of sailing, but I knew nothing of the sea. Still determined, I petitioned the Harbourmaster to teach me what I needed to join a crew. She agreed to teach me of the sea if I would stay with the harbour for a year and do what was asked. After that year when I had learned the skills and earned my keep, Harbourmaster Jettie gave me her leave, and I joined the crew of the Lady Sinister. It has been a few years now since I joined the Lady Sinister, and I could not ask to sail on a finer ship. The crew is now my family and, though we have sailed through fair winds and stormy waters, I know I have found my home.
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=The_Hulk&diff=4630The Hulk2013-01-15T02:10:20Z
Kilt Puppet:

Biography
He has travelled the world and has sat on the beach of two oceans and a sea. He has spent time on both sides of the equator and played in the tropics. He has spent time with Blackbeard in Bath and visited the Lost Colony. Growing up in North Carolina he dreamt of becoming a pirate. He is the proverbial Gypsy for he enjoys travelling. The first chance he got he boarded a ship and started to travel. Happiness is being on an open sea with brine in his face or sitting by the dock by the bay wasting time.

Through his travels he put on weight and became an able body on board as well as off ship. He is known for pleasant surprises. Through the travels he learned to pay attention to the little things for those are the things that are most important. He is the Gemini for what you see is not what you always get for he has two sides. It appears that he is a hulking monster of a human being but inside that mind is a statistician of tactics. He has learned when to be a leader and when to be a follower. When he heads into battle he is a polarizing force. For he inspired his crew to do great things, he will not hide in the back but lead from the front.

He is one that does not like the limelight but enjoys sitting just out of the light allowing others to shine. For he casts a big shadow but enjoys watching others succeed. He enjoys bringing happiness to others for that is what he lives for. He has lived life and enjoys the little things in life.

Eventually after his travels where he saw a sea of sand, a land that looks like a moonscape, been a swordsman in the support of the Pirates of Emerson playing a dead pirate, and a swordsman for the Knights of Santiago. Eventually he ran aground in a landlocked state and hooked up with a fleet of pirates. Others saw greatness in this form although he was a broken person because of his travels he needed to be involved. He wanted to be needed and became a White Knight to some but something was missing. All the helping was not giving him the satisfaction he had helped all he could. He had proven he was strong in body, heart, and mind. The fleet had become a family but what ship would take him. Now he had become scared for where would he go.

The moment had come who would take him. He was afraid for he knew he was a powerful force and needed a strong Captain and Crew to keep him inline. He was a bull in a china shop that had learned to wear ballet shoes to keep from knocking things over. But sometimes things did get smashed. With controlled power accidents do happen and people do get scared. He was blindfolded and the moment of truth had arrived. He was handed a sash, a Captain and Crew had accepted him. But who had done so? Could it be the Captain that he had matched strength with to prove his worth? Could it be the Crew that he loved to be around? Could it be the First Mate he respected and would break his back for? Could it be the Quartermaster that he so enjoyed to be around? Could it be the Crew that he had sweated with and worked alongside? The moment of truth had arose time to take off the blindfold. In front of him stood the man that he respected, and was wrapped up into an Ogre size bear hug. He had ended up on the ship he wanted to be on The Lady Sinister. Captain Ogre Greybeard and Crew had accepted him. The Captain a big smile and the First Mate and the Quartermaster Squee’d for what had started out as a Barbie in training had grown into “The Hulk” a force of support and strength to an already strong ship. On his sash was a pink faire favor to remind him of where he began so he did not forget. For “The Hulk” had come home to The Lady Sinister.
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=The_Galley&diff=4629The Galley2013-01-15T02:02:18Z
Kilt Puppet: /* Galley Members */

Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=Valya&diff=4620Valya2012-11-14T06:23:59Z
Kilt Puppet: /* Guilds */

1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell
Biography
The Lady of the House dressed in her finest, ventured out to go shopping.

As usual she was shadowed by her brother and his men.

During the course of the day, she was approached by a very young girl (Verbena) who engaged her in conversation. While they were talking, a second young girl (Verbena’s sister Piper) slipped up behind the lady to cut her purse strings.

Because of her shadowy escort, the Lady of the House retained her purse.

Being in a benevolent state of mind (still retaining her gold), and with her brother's entourage the sisters were transported back to her house to start work in the kitchen (to repay what they tried to steal) and to protect them.

Verbena met and married a pirate named Mica and went off with him to his home seas with the Pirates of Rogue's Cove.
Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=The_Lady_Sinister&diff=4605The Lady Sinister2012-10-02T07:06:21Z
Kilt Puppet: /* Current Roster - (24) */

Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell
Ship Story
Ship Song
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck

Some say he is the one who actually wrote all of this…

Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=File:Hulk1.jpg&diff=4544File:Hulk1.jpg2012-09-06T19:40:15Z
Kilt Puppet: uploaded a new version of "File:Hulk1.jpg"

1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

Kilt Puppethttp://www.coloradorogues.org/wiki/index.php?title=File:LadyDi1.jpg&diff=4512File:LadyDi1.jpg2012-08-12T17:52:33Z
Kilt Puppet: uploaded a new version of "File:LadyDi1.jpg"

Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell
