== Biography==
I was born the youngest child of strict parents. I grew up a normal girl child in warm southern climes. I learned sewing and cookery, etiquette and deportment. I became skilled as a seamstress, but never more than a passable cook. But I learned to command a household. My family name is well known in France, so you will never hear it from my lips. As my family was highly placed, I had no need to sully my hands with labor, but only busy myself with trifles. On only one thing did I defy my parents, then. I wanted to KNOW. I learned to read, to write, to cipher. All these things I learned that a well-bred girl should not know. I read many books, tales of knights in armor, tales of adventure. The ones I loved most were the stories of pirates, dashing and brave, defying king and country in pursuit of riches and bounty. However, as a noble born girl, I could do nothing, though my heart sang at the thought of the open sea.

Soon enough, with parents like mine, I needed out. I left home as soon as I came of age, but life was cruel, and I was young and innocent. My father’s guards found me and brought me back. My father’s rage knew no bounds, within our own walls. He soon announced my betrothal to the lord of a far-away village. I had not met this man, but I had heard he was a harsh master. I was young, and with it, naïve. I did not know this man, I said. We would not marry. My father paid no heed to my denials. He set a date, and one thing further. He set me a guard, to watch at my door night and day, that I not escape again.

I spent four months without ever once being allowed to step outside, to breathe fresh air, to see the sky. I brooded, I sulked. Then I began to make plans. I sent my maid with orders to secure me weapons. She brought me knives only, and one small flintlock pistol, as I have always been small. I taught myself as best I could the use of weapons. I never had the chance to practice with my pistol, as the sound would be noticed and I would be found out. But, the knives. Ah, the knives I learned as well as I could in those few months. I was not allowed out, so I had lots of time to practice. I fashioned a sheath, as I have long been skilled at needlework. I kept it hidden so that none would suspect. I left for my wedding resigned, but well trained.

My father kept me shut away in a carriage, so I could not see the way to my new home. We were days upon days on the road, and I began to despair. I later found that we travelled steadily north, and west, and when I was allowed out, we were near some mountains. I had never learned cartography, so I knew not where we had come. I soon learned that my father had lied. I was not being wed to a lord, but sold to an apprentice falconer of the lord of Larkspurshire. My family left me there, alone, and I had no one but that lout to whom to turn. He got me with child, to my great chagrin. I was innocent, I protested, but that mattered naught. Once I had borne a daughter, I swore to myself, as there was no one else I could trust, that she would never suffer as I had. My falconer taught me more of knives, thinking it an odd whim. He did not think it so odd when I crippled him to gain my freedom. I fled, taking with me nothing but my child and what jewels I had managed to hide from him.

I had no way to support myself, so I fell to robbery to survive. By then, I had become very skilled with my knives, and I had learned to use my pistol. I went to the ports, as sailors, fresh off their ships, had full pockets and half closed eyes. I lived well there for several years, but robbery is hard on one burdened with a child. Slowly, I came to know the ships and their crews. I fell loosely in with a group of pirates after I met the tall, dark woman who ruled them. I learned that I could survive as well or better with them than I could on my own, and I was no longer alone. It was too bad that strife lived among my new friends, as it had in my family before. She was overthrown, and I could do nothing to stop it.

Luckily, I knew well those in charge of the mutiny. The man in black had long been my friend, and my life knew very little change. My daughter was growing into a person, and it became known that I was not interested in the politics of pirates or of kings. I met a rogue, tall and dashing. Dutch, he was, and beautiful with it. Skilled robber that I had become by then, he bested me and stole the one thing none had ever had of me. He took my heart, as my family never could. One year later, we were wed.

The group of pirates found turmoil once again. This second mutiny was far-reaching. The entire group was changed, some for the better, and some for the worse. From one ship came several, all to recruit their own crews. From one captain, several, and one Commodore to lead them all. I was not to escape this mutiny unchanged. My husband was well known and much trusted within the group. He was appointed one of the captains. I left my life among the ruffians at the port to ship with the ruffians of the sea. For my skill with weapons, and my strong temper, I became Gunnery Master, my young daughter my apprentice, finally at home on the Lady Sinister.

1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

== Biography==

What can I say, I too was young and dumb once. When I was a young lad I dreamed of the feel of a good sword in my hand, the wind on my face, and the sun on my back, and above all the Freedom to roam where and how I willed …. That must be how I fell in with the band … They were a ragtag group, and not very well organized ….One night a job went south …We lost most of us. All because a girl turned us in …. Those of us that survived the encounter laid very low for a while … but eventually sought each other out .the men made me their new leader … I accepted with reservations. Was I really fit to lead?

We moved to a new port and set up shop again. My new band, seeking members all over. While on a temporary vacation (so the law got a little closer then we wanted) I meet a wonderful young lass… Eyes full of wild and a soul unbound, what can I say. I was hooked. While courting the wonderful lady I ended up at a rather boisterous party that took place at the private residence of a local madam. It was an interesting time I meat several Self proclaimed Pirate captains... But with no ships in port I ignored their claims but made good friends anyway with the one they called Moon. To this day I am scared to discover why they call him that.

With our friendship sealed, he and I meet several more times at a little bit more sober of events. And through him I was introduced to a man whose name meant something to a dog like me, MuttQ. I maintained a good but not close friendship with both of these captains as they were always out to sea, so they claimed. The band and I got things rolling even better and were thinking of branching out to another kingdom but while on our travels there we were attacked by a nearly mythical beast. It felled three men before any of us had drawn steel but with my lady here I was no going to let it Taste her blood… I moved into one on one combat with it. Ordering my men to tend to wounded and retreat. The battle was fierce and it took me with it down a small cliff.

I remember little other then the sound of the Lady Jessica calling out to me. But when I do have memories that function properly I was in an apothecary. And my angel was there with me. The doctor said my injuries were bad.and that I might not heal but I was determined... After a time they seemed to vanish entirely and none could find a good reason way. But I was released to go home again though it was not easy getting back to the life I had, but I made it work out, and the next summer I took the Angel I knew and made her my bride. Scores of pirates made berth to come at the request of Captains MuttQ and Moon

Captain MuttQ offered us a trip to a different island for our wedding .we took him up on it and have not left his ship or crew since … Lady Noir was the first mate serving under him when we started this voyage but while we served him on his vessel we learned he was one of a fleet of ships and the Lady Noir moved from the Lady Sinister to a posting on the flag ship.. MuttQ offered me the privilege of being his first mate and I took it... Since I have brought many a person from my guild onto his crew and we sail with him during the good sea months and when the ship makes berth at land I tend to my guild business and make sure that my guild brothers and sisters are well taken care of.

In the last winter when the fleet had settled in I learned of my wife’s pregnancy and her wish to stay ashore for birth, I was going to stay with her but she wanted me to Aid the Captain in case we met a ship that would not surrender to our might. It was rare but some hadn’t learned our standard well enough to know we gave no quarter. This proved useful as he took a wound that haunted him for much of our voyage. But our trusty Surgeon kept him together. In the appointed months we ported in early so I could depart and be with my wife for the birth. It went rather well I was told by the midwife and I added a wonderful baby girl to my family my first child whom I hope takes after the wild ways of her mother

In the recent season of piracy we learned of one of my guild mates’ betrothal and we brought his lady and him to the shire where I met this merry band of Pirates and my wild woman, and we did our best to make as wonderful a ceremony as we could. With MuttQ officiating and our brother in arms Vindorien, Von, and David all serving as grooms men to Arctos during the reception the king called all of the grooms men up and asked us to kneel. We were unsure what to really do other than obey. Apparently his Queen had spoken with him and they had decided to knight us. We were flabbergasted, it isn’t every day a privateer becomes a knight of the realm...Now I sail on at the side of My Captain, MuttQ, riding the sea aboard the Lady Sinister, taking what we may from those unwary souls we meet. I greet thee, as Sir Phydoux, Master-At-Arms of the Lady Sinister.

== Biography==

Born of giving heart, creative spirit, and excentric mind, I found my way through the world by skill and wit after leaving the orphanage of addolesence; a bit of acting talent helps when you have to get close enough to thieve, even closer to kill (aiding the cause of justice for my fellow women of course and a man who pays enough).
Familiar with the hiearchy at sea from a stint with another shady croud, lead by a woman of mystery and temper where i was named by her then king. I was well perpared to complete a peticular contract, I found myself on a ship serving in the galley with a most charming and cunning (and a bit green) lady, her wonderful children, and her brother now fugatives with another fiesty woman with and intresting gift for oral manipulation of phalic fruits an vegetables.

The Madame to be became a fast friend and guided me to my new home, some time with Jareth and another boy or girl (so much easier then) I settled down on our beautiful refuge from the crulety of the world. I now happily lend my abilities for all who are in need-or deserving- of my attention with potions and prose and keep my knuckles knimble by procuring a thing or two and I've noticed things like to fall into my pouches alot too.

== Biography==
Me father was an English Moor, Mother was Scottish. I was birthed with no breath off the coast of Crail on the south side of the East Neuk of Fife the local healer breathed life into this dead body. A deal made for the life was to serve her Goddess which was then told I must carry on to me to fulfill the deal made. Father was a preacher and would have none of this placed my in the service of the church. I however grew to pull myself out of such servings knowing I had another reason for living. Having to carry this curse with me the name Wraith was given.

Wraith being a fitting name as it is a spirit that cannot rest. I have walked into life learning new trades as I went on. I worked for many years in Marketgate, once the largest market place in Europe. I was shown the art of shadow (hiding in plain sight) which I used to take from rich merchants from abroad. Taking up fishing when no merchants came into port, I spent years on fishing boats learning to master the trade. I soon joined the Navy in which I was discharged for becoming unruly. I found myself back at the Marketgate in which a ship who's Lady's light aura drew me as if a flame to a moth. They called her the Lady Sinister a ship's whose tale from legends was old and true. Its Captain pulled me from my darkened pit and lifted my spirit with a new found hope. Calling me Wraith as if he knew who I was, did not see fit to condemn my already damned soul any further. I serve my Captain as I had the Goddess. Little did I know it was he, and his crew who would lift my curse and turned it into a blessing.

Its crew all honorable has shown me many things, how to survive, how to live, and all the many wonders of being in a real family.
A ship of Pirates, and true to the name, hath shown this ol’ sea dog how to live again.

As I take to my new ship with her crew I will learn to take my new duties under where they need me most.

Every time I board my ship I feel at home, my ship and its mates are my heart and that is my home. No safer place will I ever be than with me shipmates.

== Biography==
She had been lost for many a year. She was wandering, restless in mind and body and spirit, drifting among other souls who did not recognize her. There would be occasions where their lives may intersect, even overlap but the bond would eventually become exhausting. Try as she might to reveal herself to the others, they had neither the time nor the patience to see who she truly was. Inevitably they would pull free, after extracting as much as they wanted to take from her and giving little in return. They would walk on their way down the path, leaving her behind mourning the small pieces of herself that they carried with them. Borne away by deceit, by selfishness and indifference, she feared she would never be able to reclaim those fragments of her soul.

In time she came to fear the faces. The smiles and welcoming eyes that lured one in, only to later glimpse in a twist of the light, in the breath of a moment, the visage of a fiend peering out instead. It became easier to stay away from the others, to avoid those interactions, those dances with mysterious strangers who seemed more intent to wound than to heal.

But it would become lonely for her, and sometimes she would venture out and mingle with the others, but they did not even know who she was. They called her by many names, and sometimes she became other names she had devised for herself. None of them fit however, they were like ill fitting coats. Sometimes they swallowed her up, other times they pinched, and she would scratch and squirm until they peeled free. They would lie there on the floor, like the shed skins of a snake, taunting her with the unfulfilled promise of being seen for who she was inside.

The day finally came when she could take it no more, when the demands of the flickering fires in the eyes of the others became too much to bear. She could no longer try to be something she wasn’t for the benefit of those who chose not to see her for who she was. Who saw no value in what she had to give, but demanded she please them anyway. So she ran, blindly at first by tears of frustration and sadness. As she ran the tears flowed away and she started to see more clearly and was blinded by the light glinting off the waters ahead.

Waves rolled in and crashed on the sand beneath her feet; she stood in the surf and allowed the sun and the waves to beat down on her body. The scorching fire started to burn away the pain in her heart and the cooling water began to soothe to wounds. She looked out across the horizon and saw a ship, her blackened hull cutting through the waves and her sails unfurled in the wind. Without a single backward glance, she took determined steps into the water. Giving up the world of the others, she strode deeper and deeper into the blue.

The briny water licked up her body and she gave herself over to the power of the ocean. It pulled her, pushed and challenged her and saw her for who she was. Her heart echoed the exultation of the oceans pulse and with a shout she dove in, disappearing beneath the waves. Her eyes peered into the deep blue, where sunlight vanished into mystery. Letting go of her old names she joined in the mythical dance and was reborn from the foam and sand and spirits that haunt the seas.

They stood on the deck of the ship, these kindred souls to the ocean. Captain Greybeard and his crew, and they had seen many a storm. Perhaps they had seen a ghost or two in their time, certainly a sea monster would not put them out of sorts. So perhaps it is no surprise that when she climbed aboard that they did not shrink away or raise any alarm.

She approached the Captain and the First Mate standing by his side. She looked at them and watched for the fires that burned in the eyes of the others, for that flicker of deceit. The Captain raised his hand, and his voice in welcome and as the others on the ship raised their voices in chorus she stepped forward into their embrace.

Her name is Lusca, and she has found her home.

==Ship Story==

==Ship Song==
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

*chorus*

==Ship Story==

==Ship Song==
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

==Ship Story==

==Ship Song==
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

*chorus*

'''Alternate Names''': Catalina Thorne, Pirate Princess

== Biography==

== Biography==

My life began humbly in a small port town. Father owned the local tavern, and when I was old enough, he put me to work as a tavern maiden. The tavern usually had good food, the ale was always above average and the prices were fair. That’s most likely what brought Phydoux, Little Jess and their guild, The Black Velvet Band, into the tavern time and time again. Jess always called me “Lady Di”; I wasn’t sure why but it made me feel both special and a little uncomfortable. After all, it wasn’t everyday that a rogue took to giving me a nickname.

The Black Velvet Band was exciting and frightening at the same time. I loved listening to the tales of their adventures, but at the same time was too afraid to even dream about being part of the least dangerous of them myself. They became friends that I looked forward to seeing every time they passed through town. I always hoped that there would be enough fresh goods in storage to make them a really good meal when they arrived.

I was young and naïve then with my nose always stuck in a book when I wasn’t working. That was my mother’s influence. Before she died, she taught me to read and write. She said it was important so I wouldn’t get cheated. I didn’t know anything about that; I just loved meeting the people on the pages I read. I rarely left the tavern grounds for anything but groceries and had never been outside the walls of the town, but the books took me to exciting new places with every word.

When my father remarried, his new wife was not terribly fond of me; more like she didn’t want competition for his money. As she made my life more and more unbearable, the idea of leaving on a wagon train or ship started to overcome my fear of leaving the things and places I’d known all my life. When she convinced my father to force me to marry, I refused and ran away in the dead of night.

As luck would have it, I picked a night with nearly no moonlight to run off. Naturally, I was scared witless when three dark figures stepped out of the brush along the road. That is, until I recognized the voices of Jess, Phydoux and Phydoux’s second, Vin; then I was relieved. I knew they would not let any harm come to me, and their Band would see me safely out of town and to whatever destiny awaited me.

The next thing I knew, Jess and Phydoux were offering me a position with their guild. I was shocked, scared and then angry. I thought they were making fun of me but it turned out they really wanted me to join them as their cook. I accepted eagerly with the request that I be trained to defend myself. I finally learned why Jess called me “Lady Di”. She claimed I was the closest thing she’d ever met to a real Lady, and the name stuck.

It wasn’t long before Jess was asking me to be her second and not long after that the guild made arrangements with Captain MuttQ of The Lady Sinister to crew his ship in return for a portion of whatever bounty we captured. You see, Captain MuttQ was a member of a fleet of pirates called The Colorado Rogues, and he needed to flush out his crew.

Once aboard The Lady Sinister, I took an interest in the weapons onboard, particularly the cannons. I was apprenticed to Chocolate, the Master Gunner and wife of Captain MuttQ. As I became more familiar with the ship and crew I found another calling, medicine. I continued my work with Chocolate and the cannons but I began to spend more and more time with Sylvr, the ship’s Surgeon, learning about healing. It became apparent that my skill was better used in medicine and after awhile, Sylvr requested that MuttQ promote me to ship’s Surgeon, and she took the position of ship’s Cleric.

In time, Phydoux and Jess married and had a child. Jess decided to leave the sea for a more stationary home and Phydoux’s heart was more frequently with her than on the ship. With Jess’s departure I, rather reluctantly, became Quarter Master. When Captain MuttQ brought Ogre onto the ship, Phydoux put up an admirable display when his position as First Mate was challenged, but I know he was happy to have that burden lifted from him.

Captain MuttQ decided he would soon retire and began training Ogre as Captain. In turn, Ogre began grooming me for First Mate. Within the year, Captain MuttQ retired leaving the ship and crew in Ogre’s care. It was with great honor that I accepted Ogre’s request that I stand beside him as First Mate.

I’ve come a long way from the timid tavern keeper’s daughter, jumping at shadows, and my story’s not done. I just don’t know how it ends yet. When I find out, I’ll let you know.

==Ship Story==

==Ship Song==
1. You may think you're safe
On the gently bobbing waves
But look behind you, sailor, as you sail
For the storm is sweeping fast
And each breath may be your last
Death's following behind, just hear her wail

2. Though snowy white the sheet
Boys, the slaughter won't be neat
These pirates thrive on mayhem, fear, and murder
On the wings of profane prayer
Turn around, you'll find us there
The deadly ship, The Lady Sinister

*Hell's children form her crew
Boy, there's nothing you can do
But run back home to Mama's arms and cry
So, flee, you craven cur
From The Lady Sinister
Sob out your final prayer before you die*

3. When the captain takes the deck
Your boat soon will be a wreck
A ghost ship on the bottom of the sea
Pull out your guns and swords
Cause the crew is feeling bored
And a battle's just as good as liberty

4. Stand rounds on any shore
They will quickly tell you more
Bout the death toll rising worse than any plague
If you meet us on the sea
Don't go begging for mercy
You'll only spark the captain to a rage

*chorus*

5. We stand as living proof
That your nightmares do come true
Our tales need no survivors left to tell
We're the fears that stalk the night
We're the terrors of the fight
And we'll see you 'gain when we sail home to hell

*chorus*
